The year end championship series for Thoroughbreds is this Saturday. Street Sense and his three year old rivals Curlin, Hard Spun, and Any Given Saturday will compete in the biggest race, the five million dollar Breeders Cup Classic. Street Sense is running tomorrow in the Travers Stakes, on ESPN 4 pm eastern. He is the 3/5 favorite, this race has been the main target of the summer for Street Sense, he will go on to race in the Breeders Cup this fall but for now, it's the million dollar Travers Stakes!

Street Sense just won his summer debut, the Jim Dandy Stakes at Saratoga in New York. He hadn't run since the Preakness Stakes in May, and this win signals his readiness for the second half of the 2007 racing season. Next stop: The Travers Stakes in Saratoga on August 25th ( Read more... )

Today  is the Preakness, the second leg of the Triple Crown. Street Sense arrived in Maryland on Wednesday, and we arrived last night, just in time to have a fine crabcake dinner.
